Sync your Verizon Cell phone to your XP machine:
I just was able to sync my Verizon cell phone to my XP machine. The process was actually fairly easy, even though I could not find any documentation on the process. This is how I did it.
1. Purchase a sync cable for your particular cell phone from Amazon.com
2. Plug in your cell phone using the cable purchased and into an available USB port.
3. Download drivers for your particular cell phone: http://www.vzam.net/vcastmusic/ and install.
4. Reboot your PC
5. Download and install the freeware sync software bitpim: http://www.bitpim.org/#download
6. If bitpim does not see your cell phone, select Edit from the menu, and detect phone.
You should be now able to transfer your phone settings to bitpim, edit the data, and transfer back.
